Reading Buccaneers Alumni Announce 2012 Repertoire

2012 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Reading Buccaneers Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps. Since it’s inception in 1987, The Bucs Alumni have performed in the Spring Preview, Big Sounds in Motion, Serenade in Brass, Dixie Stinger, Reilly’s Raiders Shamrock Festival, the Pretzel Bowl, headlined with the Reading Pops in the Scottish Rite, supports MDA in an annual event in Orwigsburg, PA, and marched hundreds of miles in a variety of parades including the King Frost Parade. The “Balance in Blue” consistently brings together some of the most talented musicians to play some of the most interesting arrangements of music heard in drum corps.

The Bucs Alumni 2012 Repertoire includes Hoist the Colors High, Singapore and Drink Up Me Hearties from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Drum Solo, En Sueno, Finale from the Firebird Suite and the Alumni corps signature song – Beyond the Sea.

The 2012 Staff includes: Dan McGrogan: Staff & Show Coordinator; Tony Yaklich: Horn Instructor; Tom Siegfried: Drum Instructor; Tyler Kulp: Assistant Drum Instructor; and, MaryEileen Ryan: Color Guard Instructor.

The Bucs Alumni Executive Board for 2012 is President: Cap’n Bob Miller; Vice President: Randy Mutter; Secretary: Martie Hetherington; Treasurer: Mike “Lucky” Luckenbill; Business Manager: Joel Miller; Quartermaster: Terry Rohrbach; Membership: Liz Miller; and PR/Publications: Don Kline.

The next rehearsal is December 16 at Schuylkill Valley High School in Leesport, PA. Membership is open to anyone, you do not have to be a member of the Reading Buccaneers to join. We are seeking members in all sections: horns, drums and guard.
