2012 Cadets February Camp Friday Report

The Cadets’ February camp is finally rolling after a chaotic start last night. Major accidents on several highways made travel nearly impossible; members and staff were cramming into vans at the airport since the bus was stuck in traffic. They arrived at Woodstown High School about 30 at a time, and rehearsal finally started around 10:00 p.m.

According to George Hopkins, The Cadets now have about 10 of 13 minutes of music for 12.25. This camp, Arranger Jay Bocook has written a new beginning to “Carol of the Bells” for the brass. Hopkins said that the missing minute in the middle of that piece will probably be in the horn line’s hands by March.
