Velvet Knights Announce 2012 Program

VK Drum & Bugle Corps announced today their 2012 summer program, “Moving Forward.” The corps’ program includes: Short Ride on a Fast Machine by John Adams, Road to Chicago by Thomas Newman, and 1000 Airplanes on the Roof by Philip Glass.

According to VK Corps Director, Mayra Iraheta, “The 2012 program is symbolic of the Velvet Knights journey, not just because we are returning to DCI but also, because we continue to move forward with the evolving changes of this activity. But “Moving Forward” doesn’t stop there, internally, we are embracing the concept as an organization committed to providing our members with an unforgettable experience each year.”

“VK fans and supporters can expect to see a VK that is moving forward with the times and new changes in a great direction!” explained show creators Randy Badillo and Kevin Bell, “Even the corps famous “Converse” are getting a cool update.” The Velvet Knights will be debuting the 2012 program June 29th in Oceanside, CA.
