Storytelling has been around as long as we have. All the ancient cultures — Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Asian — recorded powerful stories — even cave paintings reveal our need to pass along what’s important. Our most compelling stories have always been about heroes — those brave few who rise up against oppression, swim against popular tide, or take the road less traveled — simply to do what is just and right.
The world’s most universal hero is Everyman — that singular character representing the everyday woman or man placed in extraordinary circumstances and whose true power lies in allowing us each hope that we will fulfill our destiny.
