A Belgian Will Be Teaching With The Cavaliers

Thomas Claesen will be tenor tech of The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps this summer. The Belgian will be teaching the tenor line of the DCI top corps for about half the number of tour weeks, spread over the entire summer season.

Claesen is one of the three tenor techs working with the Cavaliers this year. In early March, an ex-member of the corps contacted Claesen, who last year played with the tenor line of the corps himself. “He asked whether I was interested in being a tech tenor, and of course I did not hesitate”, Claesen said. “I thought they literally meant that it was for only a couple weeks, but I’m pleased to get the opportunity to teach so much.”
