Change Of Venue For Sarnia Drum Corps Reunion

| |

Due to the enthusiastic response from all five former Sarnia Drum Corps, a larger venue was sought for the reunion as the Sarnia Legion does not have the capacity for this event.

The committee, consisting of two members from the following Drum Corps: Lionettes, Sertomanaires, Marching Angels, Diplomats and the Buccaneers recently met to finalize all aspects of the upcoming reunion to be held Saturday, June 23rd from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the cafeteria of Lambton College located at 1457 London Road, Sarnia, Ontario. This is an alumni (or adult) event only. The five drum corps have scheduled their own evening ‘afterglow’ at various locations throughout the city.

Preregistration is encouraged. Orders for commemorative tee shirts will be taken only until June 1st; they will not be available for purchase at the reunion.

Along with displays by each of the participating drum corps of their own memorabilia, Mr. Ron Gander will be displaying drum corps items from many, many corps and areas if North America – there will even be a ‘plastic’ bugle from long, long ago. Also, the Preston Scout House Alumni Band will have a booth to interest the younger generation to participate in this rewarding experience. Preston Scout House is one of the very few drum corps in Southwestern Ontario to be presently in operation.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along their souvenirs, pictures and stories.

For those interested in attending this event, the address to register is: sarniadrumcorpsreunion [at] gmail [dot] com
