In The News: Buglers Across America Gives Passing Veterans Receive A Real Final Farewell
In 2000, Congress declared all veterans should have a right to military funeral honors.
This included the presence of two uniformed service personnel — active or retired — the presentation of a burial flag to the family and the playing of “Taps.”
The problem, though, was finding someone to play the somber melody most remembered as a farewell to those who served their country.
