In The News: Muscatine High School To Host Drum Corps Competition
A rousing celebration of percussion and pageantry is in store for Muscatine-area residents Sunday, July 1, when eight bands from five different states meet to compete at the Muscatine High School stadium.
The event, Percussion on the Pearl, is a Drum Corps International event coordinated locally by Muscatine volunteers.
“It will be the first time Muscatine will host a major Drum Corps International event,” said MHS director of bands Jeff Heid. “It will be an outstanding competition among eight great drum corps from around the country.”
