In The News: LeRoyan Credits St. Joe’s Corps For Rise From Humble Beginnings

By the age of 9, Mike Waldron’s life was already pretty bleak.

He had never known his father. Half of his mother’s family had died of alcoholism, eventually including his mother; and he and an older brother had been taken away from her and put in the Genesee County Children’s Home in Batavia.

Today, Waldron, 66, looks back on his life with pride and satisfaction, primarily due to St. Joseph’s Drum and Bugle Corps.
