Crossmen, Field Of View Alumni Join For Scholarship Spinfest

| |

Alumni Associations from Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, (San Antonio, TX) DCI World Class and Field of View Indoor Colorguard (West Chester, PA) WGI Open Class, are holding an alumni Scholarship SpinFest at Cedar Beach Park next to J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown, PA on Saturday, August 4th at 2:00 p.m.

For decades, Crossmen and Field of View have shared a commitment to excellence. A new generation of colorguard members has been proud to continue the rich traditions and cohesive styles in equipment, movement and performance of both organizations. This scholarship fundraiser ensures that future members will have opportunities to carry the experiences for a lifetime.

The event is open to any marching or instructional alumni of either group. In many cases, there are alumni of both.

Planned events include: Gathering of Mass Colorguard for spin block of “1 and 1” led by Leighann Fields, alumna from both units and current Crossmen staff member; Ms. Fields is a second generation Crossmen having marched 8 years with the Corps, 3 as Colorguard Captain, and 4 years with Field of View. A commemorative photograph will be taken of all alumni participants following the SpinFest, then Field of View Alumni group photo at 3:00 p.m. and Crossmen Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 4:00 p.m. adjacent to the SpinFest Area. Festivities to conclude at 5:00 p.m. DCI East gates open at 5:00 p.m.

A minimum donation of $30 will reserve a spot in the SpinFest block. Participants will be able to keep commemorative flag (minus the pole) as a token of appreciation. All proceeds raised are for the Crossmen and Field of View Colorguard Scholarships and will be divided equally.
