| |

The Florida Brass Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps is now approaching ten years of being together and entertaining the public in the sunshine state of Florida. From the early years of drum corps, to DCI and DCA past members make up The Brass in all sections. As drum corps people move out of the cold states and some retiring to Florida, the word gets out as The Florida Brass continues to grow each year. With so much talent from members of past corps, that when the Florida Brass does a show or parade, the crowd knows that’s what drum corps use to be like. Entertaining the people and having fun doing it. The Florida Brass was founded in 2003 with seven members and now boasting over thirty horns and a growing drum line and guard, this corps is making headlines in Florida and the drum corps world. The corps plays a variety of music from Jazz and Latin drum corps style that gets the crowd going and enjoying every note. Dick Burns writes and teaches the horn line, he is fantastic with the selections he comes up with for the Brass. Music you know and can clap to. Ron Daw writes and teaches the drum line with a flair of old and new drum corps style. Mark Daniels former member of The Yankee Rebels, the drum major now for 10 years with the Brass leads the corps with a “magic wand” that keeps the beat going through every song. Marty Angiulli is the corps director and is a former member of many past drum corps of the 60’s and 70’s including the Skyliners and Brigadiers from New York.
