In The News: Drum And Bugle Corps Returning To Schuylkill County

Drum and bugle corps from across the country will make their annual return to Schuylkill County in early August.

“You have to see it, and once you see it you’ll totally understand it,” said Terry McGlone, assistant band director of the Schuylkill Haven Area School District.

The district is providing lodging for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, Casper, Wyo., one of six corps that will briefly call the area home. Other districts will host the other corps, including Saint Clair Area, Blue Mountain and Pottsville Area as well as Hamburg Area in Berks County. Penn State Schuylkill will also host a drum and bugle corps.
