In The News: Eddleman Excited As Corps Prepares To Play First Shoremen Brass Classic

An extravaganza of sound, color and precision will wow the crowd Aug. 3 at Avon Lake Memorial Stadium, when seven drum corps take the field during the inaugural Shoremen Brass Classic.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m., is part of the Drum Corps International summer tour. Drum corps from across North America will be marching into Avon Lake, thanks to the recommendation of David Eddleman, Avon Lake band director, who serves as open class coordinator for DCI. Open Class corps have a minimum of 30 members but no more than 150 and are comprised of high school and college-age students.
