The exodus had begun even before the show started.
The 150 members of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps – in town along with six other groups who represent the “professional ranks of marching bands” – trudged back and forth from the Metamora Township High School gymnasium to the four charter buses that awaited them in the parking lot.
