In The News: No Specific Time For Drum Corps Rehearsal At WHS

You’re on your own if you want to watch the drum corps staying at Wethersfield High School next week rehearse.
The Spirit of Atlanta, a world class drum corps from Georgia, will be spending a few hours at the southside school Wednesday as they prepare for a contest Wednesday night at Metamora High School.

Wethersfield band director Jay Hagaman said he has not received a schedule from the “Spirit” staff yet, but was told by Metamora band director Wally Parks that the corps, which travels by coach and semi, will probably arrive late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, get some rest in sleeping bags on the WHS gym floor, and will most likely practice Wednesday morning and/or afternoon on the WHS athletic field.
