In The News: Racine Scouts End Season Early, Cancel Anniversary Celebration

In its 85th year of continuous operation, the Racine Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps is ending its season early with an eye toward reorganization, according to manager Andrea Birbilis.

“The corps is not dead,” she said Monday. “We will reorganize and come out again in 2013.”

She also stressed that the decision to end the season had nothing to do with the corps’ members. “We had no problems with kids; no kids were harmed,” she said.
