Storms Led To Early Departure From WCU For 2012 Cadets

The Cadets finished out day three at Western Carolina University yesterday with more rain. After another morning with the clinic students, a torrential downpour slammed the stadium at 1 p.m. The Cadets and high school students paused visual rehearsal to run for cover, just as I was walking up into the stands to film my daily update.

After a half hour or so, the rain was back to a manageable shower, so the visual staff told the corps to head back to the field. About an inch of water sat on the field, and The Cadets splashed through it in their rain gear and soggy shoes. Wet silks rippled through the air as the color guard muscled through rehearsal.
