In The News: 7th Regiment Exceeds Expectations At DCI World Championships

The 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps recently performed in Drum Corps International World Championship, placing 5th in Open Class competition. The corps scored 86.35 competing in a field of the top 14 DCI Open Class bands in country.

The show, titled 24601-7R, featured a futuristic cyberpunk color guard and a bold and impressive range of music that moved from classic to super-modern, from Beethoven to Sibelius to ethereal Icelandic band Sigur Ros. Though number 24601 belongs to prisoner Jean Val Jean, his story is not told. The dash 7R names a unique creative vision that battles with themes of oppression and conformity.
