The Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps will present its annual contest, Big Sounds in Motion, on Saturday, August 25th at 6:50 p.m. at Exeter Township High School’s Don Thomas Stadium, 201 E. 37th Street, Reading, PA 19606.

Tickets are $18 for reserved seats and $15 for general admission, and will be available for purchase at the stadium beginning at 10:00 a.m. on show day.

The annual contest will close out the Drum Corps Associates regular season and will feature six competing units at the top of their game, including the Buccaneers. Scheduled to appear are Shenandoah Sound (Manassas Park, VA), White Sabers (Dansville, NY), Carolina Gold (Greensboro, NC), Fusion Core (Morris County, NJ), Hawthorne Caballeros (Hawthorne, NJ) and the hometown Reading Buccaneers. The evening will also feature a special exhibition performance by the Buccaneer Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps.

The contest takes place just one week before the annual DCA World Championships in Annapolis, MD over Labor Day weekend.

At stake in this competition is seeding for the DCA World Championships. Seeding is determined by a corps’ highest score at a DCA-sanctioned contest, and all corps will depend on their score at this event to go into the World Championships preliminary round of competition with an advantageous seed.
