SCV Brass Audition & Technique Books Available For Purchase

Now available in the SCV Online Merchandise Store are four books compiled for brass players to utilize and prepare for the 2013 Vanguard Brass Auditions.

Each book (Trumpet, Mellophone, Baritone/Euphonium and Tuba) serves as a compendium of exercises to be used during a daily warm-up, and provides a practice regimen for long-term improvement in individual techniques such as tone production, airflow, dexterity and articulation, as well as ensemble responsibilities such as blend, balance, intonation, and overall matching. It is not designed as a comprehensive book, however, it allows prospective members of the Vanguard brass section a foundation to understand our approach to brass, which we hope will result in a successful audition in the future.
