Racine Scouts Announce 2013 Program

Stravinsky’s first international success, the Firebird ballet, provides the canvas for the Racine Scouts’ return to the competitive field. The narrative subject of the ballet is a Russian mythological story about a prince and a princess menaced by strange magical creatures. Combining both haunting, lyrical melodies with bombastic musical tirades, 2013’s production “From the Ashes” culminates in a triumphant and jubilant fanfare celebrating the “oldest continually active corps in America.”
