2013 SCVonTOUR Blog: May 27-May30
On Monday, the corps woke up at 7:30 AM for their first day of rehearsal in Weed, CA.
Although it began as a lumber milling town, today Weed is home to around 3,000 people and our housing site for the next two weeks, the College of the Siskiyous. Vanguard has been coming here for pre-tour since 2009, but this year marks our longest stay on their beautiful campus. Here at the College of the Siskiyous, we have plenty of room to spread out for rehearsals, utilizing three different fields so the percussion, brass, and guard can work on their priorities separately before coming together in the evening.
