2013 Blue Stars Spring Training Report
The Blue Stars have completed part 1 of the 2013 spring training experience. After 21 days, the corps decamped from Waldorf College in Forest City, IA to head home to La Crosse, WI for the remainder of pre-tour. The corps will be spending 8 days in the La Crosse area before heading out on the 2013 summer tour.
The last few days in Iowa were wet and rainy, the same weather the corps has battled since the start on May 24. Fortunately the facilities, and people involved with Waldorf and in Forest City are top notch and the weather’s impact on the corps’ progress was minimal. Both the college an high school have terrific, fast-draining turf fields that allowed the sections to return to the field quickly after each rain shower.
