2013 SCVonTOUR Blog: May 31 – June 2

We have made it through our first week of pre-tour here at the College of the Siskiyous in Weed, CA, and the corps continues to make progress on their 2013 program, “Les Misérables.”

For those who may not know, “Les Misérables” was originally a book written by Victor Hugo in 1862, but has since been made into a Tony Award winning broadway musical and, most recently, a movie starring Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe, and Anne Hathaway. Best known for its music, the songs in “Les Misérables” vary from upbeat anthems such as “At The End of The Day” and “Do You Hear The People Sing,” to well-known ballads like “I Dreamed a Dream” and “On My Own.”
