Backyard Brawl: $3,000 Match From Cavaliers Alumni Board

The Cavaliers and Phantom Regiment have reignited the rivalry with the return of the Backyard Brawl, a fundraising challenge between the two Midwest powerhouse drum corps, for the 2013 season. The campaign started July 1 and will run through 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.

In 2012, Phantom Regiment took home the title, bringing in a total of $32,217 to benefit the Rockford-based organization, just $3,704.57 ahead of The Cavaliers’ total of $28,512.43. The Cavaliers maintained the lead for a majority of the 2012 campaign, until the final day when Regiment had some generous supporters step up to move the needle ahead of the Green Machine.
