Bridgemen Family Fun And Free Concert

| |

Organizers of the first annual Bayonne Appreciation Day have added children’s games and face painting to the agenda for what is shaping up to be a day of family fun, patriotism, music and hometown pride. Sponsored by The Bridgemen Drum and Bugle Corps and Bayonne Community Bank, Veterans Memorial Stadium is the place to be on Saturday, August 17th.

The Bridgemen will open their doors to the public to watch rehearsal from noon until 4 pm. Then, starting at 6, local vendors will be on hand to sell food and drinks. The Bayonne Elks will also be on hand, preparing food to raise money for the Elks Charities. In addition, the corps will be holding a 50/50 raffle and selling their famous souvenir t-shirts.

Starting at 7, local actress and singer Katelyn Spinosa will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America followed by a special musical tribute to local veterans. After that, there will be a performance by the Bridgemen Select Brass Ensemble. The highlight of the evening will be the Bridgemen performing their entire field show for all in attendance.

The Bridgemen encourage you to come down early, put on your sunscreen and spend sometime watching them prepare for their season finale at the Drum Corps Associates World Championships in Annapolis on Labor Day Weekend.
