Look Like The Cadets This Fall

Here’s a little insight on the loops from The Cadets’ recent alum and colorguard instructor Katie Hopkins:

We went through a few versions this past summer, trying to find the best loops. The laminated lumber loops were the final version The Cadets Guard used. They are sturdier than the plywood loops and closer to the material of a real rifle. The two weigh about the same, thought, and the plywood ones are good as well. It really depends on your needs. If they are going to be tossed a lot, then I would recommend the laminated lumber. They are a bit more durable in case a drop should occur. However, if they are primarily going to be used for spinning and effect, and not so much tossing, then you can go ahead with the plywood.
