Holland Named 2014 Mandarins Color Guard Caption Head

The Mandarins are pleased to announce Allexis Holland as our Color Guard Caption Head for the 2014 season. Allexis received her early ballet training in her native Illinois. Upon graduating high school, she continued her studies at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where she will be graduating this Spring with a B.A. in Dance Performance and English Education. She gained a great deal of her professional ballet training from The Misawa Unique Ballet Company in Misawa, Japan. While with Misawa Unique Ballet, Allexis toured around Northern Japan performing at festivals and annual concerts. At the 2004 annual Company performance, she was honored to become the first American in the company’s history to be given a solo. Allexis has been involved with the Color Guard activity for nine years. She is the current Color Guard Director at Alton High School, and choreographs for several programs around the Illinois-St. Louis Metro Area.
