Tampa Bay Thunder Moving To DCI Open Class

The Tampa Bay Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps was formed in 1999. During the 2000 & 2001 seasons it competed in DCI Division II/III, then after a 10 year absence from the activity Thunder returned to the field in 2011 in DCA competition. DCA provided our members an opportunity to participate in the drum corps activity at a significantly reduced cost and time commitment.

We would like to thank all those at DCA for having us participate in the limited events we have done so during the past three summers, giving our members exposure to the DCA circuit. It is our belief that being a Florida based drum corps and the intermittency of participation, performance opportunities, and the extended season until Labor Day weekend is not what our members and staff were looking for.
