Bridgemen Prepare For 10th Anniversary Season

| |

The staff and administration of the Bridgemen cordially invite you to their open house on November 23rd and 24th to be held at the Saint Andrews School on Broadway @ 4th Street in beautiful downtown Bayonne. 2014 will be the 10th consecutive year of the alumni corps and plans are underway for a season-long celebration for one of the most famous drum corps of all time.

With the dust barely settled from their 2013 campaign, the Bridgemen are busy organizing for their upcoming season. The instructional staff and musical selections are being finalized and the performance schedule is being booked to provide a great experience for members and audiences alike.

The entire design team will be returning for this year’s festivities. Corps director George Lavelle will, once again compose the visual program. Grammy Award Nominee, Larry Kerchner will be returning to arrange the music and World Drum Corps Hall of Fame inductee, Dennis Delucia, will pen the percussion book.

The corps will be bringing back some classic Bridgemen memories with their rendition of “Pagliaci” followed by, Earth Wind and Fire’s “In the Stone”. “Spanish Dreams” will be next, and the beautiful “Hymn to the Last Whale” will round out the show. Of course, no Bridgemen show would be complete without an encore of “The William Tell Overture”

Doors will open at noon on Saturday and rehearsal will end at 6. There will be a 10th Anniversary dinner that evening at St. Andrews. Tickets are $10.00 each and the event is open to the public. Anyone interested in being part of the Bridgemen, either as a member or part of the support staff, is encouraged to come to the open house.
