DCA Searching For Historic Artifacts

| |

As part of their 50th Anniversary Celebration Labor Day Weekend 2014 in Rochester, NY, Drum Corps Associates will be presenting a drum corps “museum” for all to enjoy. The 50th Anniversary Committee is actively searching for items to display. If you or anyone you know has any historic items that you would like to loan to the museum, please contact Committee Chairman and DCA Vice President, Allen Buell at vp [at] dcacorps [dot] org.

They are looking for anything and everything that represents the past 50 years of drum corps. Horns and drums, uniforms (especially of all aged corps), photos and other media, program books from DCA Championships or regular season shows and anything else you might be able to think of to honor the memory of the activity we love, please contact the committee. They are especially interested in uniforms from 1965 for the founding members and those who were in attendance at the first championship. Those corps are: Reading Buccaneers, New York Skyliners, CT Hurricanes, Baltimore Yankee Rebels, Albany, NY’s Interstatesmen, Pittsburgh Rockets and Upper Darby, PA’s Archer Epler Musketeers.

All items can either be returned or donated to an appropriate historical committee to be preserved. Become a part of the Golden Anniversary of DCA. Contact the Committee now with any items you might have. For further information, go to www.dcacorps.org.
