Mandarins Announce 2014 Percussion Leadership Team

It is with great pleasure that we announce the new leadership team for the Mandarins 2014 Percussion Section. This combination of performance talent, instructional experience and management expertise has never before been assembled at the Mandarins. We are looking forward to the impact that this team of leaders can make with the percussion section and across the organization.

Sean Womack, Co-Caption Head is looking forward to joining the Mandarins family. He is the co-founder of DoubleStop Percussion, a Birmingham, Alabama-based percussion education company providing percussion instruction for schools throughout the Southeast and co-director of DoubleStop Indoor Percussion. Mr. Womack received his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Georgia. He is a former member of Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps and a former staff member of Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps and Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Womack also serves as President of the Alabama Percussive Arts Society and is a member of the PAS Marching Percussion Committee. He maintains a studio of percussion students from elementary through high school and is in demand as an adjudicator, clinician, and arranger throughout the United States. He is a member of Percussive Arts Society, the National Association for Music Education, and the Alabama Music Educators Association and is endorsed by Innovative Percussion, Pearl Drums, Adams Musical Instruments, and Evans Drumheads. Mr. Womack is married to Sara, an elementary school music teacher, and is a father of two boys, Will and Mason.
