Park City Pride Announces 2014 Staff Addition

Park City Pride is very pleased to announce the addition of Rich Warga to the staff in the dual role of Business Manager and Staff Coordinator.

Rich is a lead soprano and a charter member of the corps who brings a wealth of experience from his more than 50 year contribution to the drum corps activity.

He performed with the Bridgeport PAL Cadets junior corps from 1960 to 1968, moving on to the New York Skyliners in 1969, and the Hawthorne Caballeros in 1994.

Over the past four decades, Rich has served as drill designer, instructor and caption head for such corps as the New York Skyliners, Hawthorne Caballeros, Long Island Sunrisers, Garfield Cadets, Milford Shoreliners, Kingston Indians and St. Raphael’s Golden Bucccaneers. Both the Skyliners and Caballeros won DCA championships during his tenure.

Rich has also acted in various administrative roles including business manager, assistant director and treasurer for several corps, and is a member of both the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame and the New Jersey Drum Corps Hall of Fame.

The rest of Park City Pride’s staff remains in place, with arrangements by World Drum Corps Hall of Fame members Frank Dorritie (brass) and John Oddo (percussion).

Brass instructor is Peter Horton assisted by Kevin Sandler. Percussion instructor is Bob Wilcox.

The visual team consists of Bob Findley, World Drum Corps Hall of Fame VP as coordinator/designer and, Glenn Broadbent, movement tech, Skip Gallant, color guard designer/instructor and Vanessa Zerella Diaz, rifle/cymbal line designer/instructor.

Park City’s Corps Director is John Donovan.

Rehearsals for all sections are held Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00pm at the Klein Memorial Auditorium, 910 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport, CT.. Check the Website under Events for rehearsal and performance details. All sessions are open and visitors are welcome.
