Introducing The 2014 Mandarins Drum Majors

The Mandarins are pleased to introduce Barrett Juhrend and Jesus Perez, our drum majors leading the corps onto the field for the 2014 season.

Barrett returns this year for his fourth and final season with the Mandarins. “I am so excited for all of the new changes in the corps this year. There is no other corps I’d rather age-out with.” Last year, Barrett was front field drum major and will resume that position on the field. In his first two seasons with the corps, he played lead trumpet and was a soloist his rookie year in 2010. Barrett is a former drum major of Ponderosa High School and is currently studying at California State University, Fresno, pursuing a degree in recreation administration.
