Museum For DCA’s 50th Anniversary

On January 5th, a meeting of a few key local Anniversary Committee members took place at the Rochester Plaza Hotel, Headquarters for the 50th DCA World Championship this coming Labor Day weekend. DCA Vice-President and Championship Chairman, Allen Buell, acted as host and they toured the hotel and began to piece together each of their specific areas to create something very special for this Golden Anniversary. It was decided that, considering the spacious confines of the main ballroom, that the “Drum Corps Museum” would be displayed around the perimeter of the ballroom. This will make it readily available to both the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and the Anniversary Gala – both of which will be held in this grand ballroom.
