Carolina Crown Hosts Learning Clinics

carolina_crown_100x100CrownLEARNING camps are in full swing and participation has been excellent. The first camp was held last weekend on May 24; it was the one day Guard and Brass clinic. The guard students worked on movement and equipment technique with guard staff and former Crown members, Marissa Citarelli and Herbert Washington. The students learned short bits of choreography which they performed with each other. Throughout the day the kids were able to interact with CrownGUARD and even had a warm-up session with them.

The brass clinic students worked with Crown brass staff members, Steve Mason and Taylor Smith. They worked on exercises, technique, and even a few encore pieces the Corps will perform this summer. Students were able to play with the CrownBRASS in the Brass Circle. Brass Caption Supervisor, Matt Harloff, was in town and ran the Brass Circle, so the kids had the opportunity to learn from the best.
