Odgen Hosts Drum Corps At Weber State

Corps Encore, an annual event in Ogden will return again this year on July 9th and will feature 8 of the top drum corps in Drum Corps International competition.

Leading the field is the Santa Clara Vanguard of California, a six-time world champion featuring their 2014 music program Scheherazade. Joining the competition will be the host corps, the Blue Knights of Denver, Colorado. The Blue Knights are consistent finalists at the Drum Corps International World Championships and will appear in new uniforms. Also in competition is the Crossmen of San Antonio, Texas. This corps has many finals appearances at the World Championships. Also in competition will be the Oregon Crusaders of Portland, Pacific Crest and Impulse of California, the Cascades of Seattle, Washington and The Academy of Phoenix Arizona. The opening ceremony will feature The Weber State Percussion Ensemble and a trumpet quartet.
