In The News: National Drum, Bugle Competition Makes Stop In Western Suburbs

Imagine a halftime show so spectacular the outcome of the sporting event it’s tied to is less than secondary; it’s nonexistent.

If this show sounds appealing, plan to attend the 31st annual Cavalcade of Brass, a competition featuring the best drum and bugle corps from around the country.

“People who come out are going to enjoy the musical and athletic-like aspects of these drum corps,” said Craig Rasin, board member for The Cavaliers, one of seven groups competing at Sunday’s event. “It’s like a great halftime show, where you don’t care about the football game because the halftime is better.”
