In The News: World Champion Drum Corps Visits Morningside College

Marching bands from high schools across Siouxland headed to Morningside college Wednesday.

The Morningside music department hosted a one-day clinic for high school marching bands and a few Morningside students. The highlight of the clinic was the arrival of not one but two nationally recognized drum corps. The headline group is the two-time Drum Corps International World Champion Madison Scouts, from Madison Wisconsin. “I thought it was a great opportunity to combine forces and provide a great educational opportunity for our students here to learn from some of the best corps in the world,” said Shane Macklin, Band Director at Morningside College.
