In The News: Young Musicians Descend Upon Ogden For Hard-Corps Competition

Running annually for nine years, and inconsistently for many more, the Corps Encore tour will descend upon Weber State University’s Stewart Stadium on Wednesday and bring with it about 1,600 young musicians and their coaches and crews.

These corps tour the country in a tough competition and each stop prepares them for the Drum Corps International championships. They hail from all over the country, and are some of the world’s finest non-professional marching bands.

George Ludstrom, an event manager for the Blue Knights of Denver, said he and his corps “will have no problem being heard,” especially his brass section.
