That One Second – A Family Story

blue_knights_100x100The Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps has been performing their 2014 production “That One Second” for thousands nationwide. The show and its concept that “life is a gift” is continuing to create waves in the drum corps community as people begin to reflect on their own personal “one second”.

The following story was submitted to us by Cliff Pearcy, a drum corps fan who was inspired to tell us about his “one second” …

COLUMBUS, OH – There are so many “one seconds” for me in Colorado where I grew up. I never marched drum corps, but went to a small high school in Southern Colorado in the 1980’s. Monte Vista High School, which only had an enrollment of 350 at the time and we had 175 in marching band which was half the school! The program is not as successful now as it was back then. The high school is known as the smallest high school in Colorado to have ever marched a half-time show for the Denver Broncos. Read the rest of the article here.
