Tom Aungst Talks Percussion

Over the next several weeks, we will introduce you to the creative team heading up Carolina Crown 2015. Tom Aungst recently joined Crown as the Percussion Caption Supervisor. He brings over thirty years experience as a marching percussion educator.

Tom began his marching percussion career as a snare drummer with the Reading Buccaneers and then the Garfield Cadets. He took over The Cadets, first as Percussion Instructor, then Caption Head and Arranger, from 1985 through 2008. He has also worked with Cadets², Blue Stars, Pacific Crest, Hawthorne Caballeros, and the Connecticut Hurricanes.
