In The News – ‘Scouts Honor’ Brings Story Of Drum Corps To The Ross

To most, the marching arts constitutes a 10-minute show before the football team runs out or a showcase during halftime.

But there exists an entire subculture of music and the marching arts known as the drum and bugle corps. Filmmakers Mac Smith and Tom Tollefsen hope to bring the activity to the forefront with their new documentary, “Scouts Honor: Inside a Marching Brotherhood.”

The film will be screened at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center on Monday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are available for purchase online on the Ross’s website.
