Govenaires 2015 Staff Openings Announced

Since concluding another successful competitive season last September, the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps is tirelessly working on its show for the upcoming year.

With most of the pieces in place and 2015 on the horizon, the St. Peter-based marching ensemble seeks experienced people to teach its growing brass, drumline and color guard sections.

If you have outdoor and/or indoor marching experience, and want to pay your experience forward, the Govenaires are a fun and flexible group to work with.

Openings include:

– Brass Visual Tech
– Drumline Visual/Tenor Tech
– Front Ensemble Instructor
– Colorguard Weapons Tech

It’s preferred that interested applicants live relatively close to St. Peter, either in southern Minnesota or the Twin Cities area.

The first rehearsal for 2015 will take place the weekend of January 17-18. Rehearsal times and location will be announced soon.

As part of the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) circuit, the Govenaires are ten-time finalists and three-time champions in Class A.

Along with its competitive success, the corps takes pride in its unique brand of performance. Showmanship and entertaining audiences have always been paramount to the Govenaires.
