Supervisor Jimmie Yee Retires

mandarins_100x100Sacramento County Board of Supervisors member Jimmie Yee retired this month. At a dinner celebrating the occasion, the Mandarins Brassline, comprised of members representing each of the past six decades performed a special concert for Jimmie. Jimmie joined the Ye Wah/Mandarins in 1963 as a parent and color guard instructor and since then has been a steadfast supporter of the corps. He once said that in order to succeed in life, one must give back to the community. And that is what Jimmie has done, serving as a Sacramento City Councilman, Mayor, County Supervisor, and member of several governing and advisory boards. We wish him a long and happy retirement!
