In The News – Cranking Up ‘Machine’

Close to 300 college-age male musicians from around the world made Rosemont Elementary School their home last weekend as they competed for one of the 150 spots in the famed Rosemont-based Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, also known as the “Green Machine.”

Last weekend was the final call-back tryout for the 2015 Cavaliers, which has been sponsored by the village of Rosemont since 1982. The Cavaliers were formed in 1948 by Scoutmaster Don Warren as Boy Scout Troop 111 Drum & Bugle Corps in Chicago.
