In The News – Here’s Why Nation’s Best Won’t Play In Fairfield

Reconfigured seating at Fairfield High School’s stadium has prompted the relocation of the Summer Music Games drum and bugle show to Hamilton High School’s Virgil M. Schwarm Stadium.

Eight of the nation’s top drum and bugle corps are set to perform in the world class Drum Corps International competition on June 22.

The change in location comes as the Fairfield High School Marching Band celebrates the 20th year it has hosted the event at the stadium – the group’s largest fundraiser of the year, generating upwards of $22,000 in profit each year.
