It all started a year ago, when Marching Caption Suprvisor and Cadets Alum Austin Greene began talking to The 2014 Cadets about fitness outside of their marching experience.
The members are told not to show up to Spring Training excessively overweight or out of shape, lest they injure themselves with the onslaught of physically exhausting 12-hour rehearsal days. But on the verge of leaving everything behind for three months of strenuous activity, the last thing a college kid wants to do is spend precious free time getting in shape. There’s enough sweating in the summer.
