In Memory Of Albert “Berdie” LaFlamme

spartans_100x100Our Beloved Founder and highly respected Musician & Educator, Albert A. ‘Berdie’ LaFlamme, died February 27, 2015 at his home after a period of declining health.

Berdie founded the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps in Milford NH in 1955. He moved the Corps to Nashua to expand the opportunities for more youth in the area shortly thereafter. In 1974 Berdie was awarded the Service to Youth Award for his dedication and teachings to the youth of Nashua. His work and dedication has influenced generations of young musicians.
