2015 Racine Scouts Staff Announcements

racine_scouts_100x100We like to take a moment to introduce 3 new staff members for the summer.

Brandon Lesando of Jacksonville, FL
Since 2001, Brandon has marched and worked with corps in the DCI and DCA circuits, most recently as the Brass Caption Head and Program Coordinator of the 2013 and 2014 Sun Devils. In addition to his drum corps experience, Brandon has had many years of experience designing shows and teaching music with bands in Florida since 2007. This spring, he will be graduating from The University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Music Education. While at UNF, he studied horn and euphonium all while directing the St. Augustine High School Ancient City Regiment. In addition to his extensive study in conducting and rehearsal techniques, he has also attended master classes, symposiums and training seminars with Jack Stamp, Mallory Thompson, Steven Davis, and Frank Ticheli. Prior to his musical study, Brandon was a U.S. Navy sailor and Formal Schools instructor of 7 years, being honorably discharged in December of 2011. During his time in the Navy, Brandon was stationed on board the USS Rhode Island (SSBN-740 GOLD) and Trident Training Facility Kings Bay, GA. Brandon is extremely excited to work with the entire team at Racine and is eager to continue the tradition of excellence established in 1927.
